Statement of Faith

The Bible

We believe that the Holy Bible is the infallible, inerrant and inspired word of God.  It is the perfect standard of faith and practice for all of mankind.

The Trinity

We believe in one God who has revealed Himself to us as eternally existing in the three distinct but inseparable Persons of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God.  He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.  He is both fully God and fully man and lived a sinless life in which He fulfilled the law of God and revealed the one true God to mankind.  Jesus Christ took upon Himself the sins of all men and through His death on the cross satisfied God’s judgment concerning their sins and made provision for the redemption of all men from sin.  We believe in the literal, physical resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.  He has ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God as the exalted Great High Priest of all believers.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit exalts Jesus Christ in convicting the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment.  He is the supernatural Agent in regeneration, empowering, teaching and baptizing all believers into the body of Christ.  He indwells and seals them unto the day of redemption and leads believers into all truth.

Man

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam’s sin, he fell and became alienated from God.  Man is totally depraved in his Adamic spiritual identity and of himself is utterly unable to remedy his lost condition.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (apart from any works of man) whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of sins.  Once a person believes upon the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation he becomes a whole new creation eternally secure in Christ as a child of God who is a partaker of Christ’s eternal life.

Sanctification

We believe that sanctification is the process by which the believer’s co-crucifixion with Christ becomes an experiential reality to him as Christ lives His life through the believer leading him to walk in the Spirit and not after the flesh.
